By now I am sure most of you have heard of the over 273 Million email accounts that have been compromised and bought for a dollar on the dark web. The news is covering this the same way they cover everything, with fear and vague details. This article from computerworld explains how the email providers are very suspect when it comes to this claim, and think that it actually just a mash up of olddata dumps.

  • Change your password every 3 months
  • use a pass phrase over a password
  • set up two-step¬†authentication if possible
